First Television Advertisement

The first advert went out live on ITA (then Britain's only commercial television network) as part of F.W. Woolworth's Jubilee celebrations in the Spring of 1959. We've recreated it, drawing on contemporary company documents and the surviving soundtrack. We've used HTML5 Video with Video.JS to create this page, which requires a Broadband connection and a recent web-browser.
